Commit to turning
conflict into connection.
-
You’re not expected to know what to say or where to begin. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting.
Our firs session is simply a chance to talk, ask questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit. I’ll help guide the process from there.
-
You don’t have to know right away.
Finding the right therapist is a session is an opportunity for us to get a sense of each other. You can share what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how I work.
-
My approach tends to resonate with people who are psychologically curious, reflective, and willing to look honestly at themselves and their relationships—even when that process is uncomfortable.
Many of the people I work with are highly capable and functioning well in parts of their lives, yet find themselves feeling constrained by inner conflict, emotional disconnection, or recurring patterns in their relationships.
The work we do together is often gradual. Meaningful change rarely happens all at once. Therapy can involve slowing down, paying attention to what is happening beneath the surface, and developing a deeper understanding of patterns that may have taken years to form.
This is not about finding quick answers or simply learning how to manage what is difficult. It is about creating the space to understand yourself more deeply, build greater awareness and choice, and allow change to develop over time.
-
There’s no set timeline for therapy. How long we work together depends on what brings you in, what you hope to change, and how the work unfolds. Meaningful change rarely comes from quick solutions or advice; it comes from sustained attention to what has been difficult to face alone.
If you have a specific timeline or pressing concern, an intensive may be a better fit. Intensives are structured around a defined number of sessions and a focused goal.

For biweekly clients, I have a reschedule only policy. Weekly clients have limited cancellations (4 in a therapy year, with 72 hours’ notice).
-
For weekly therapy clients, I have a limited cancellation policy of 4 “free” cancellations per 12 months (from when you start therapy). Once you have missed or canceled 4 appointments within 12 months, you will be charged for any additional appointments you are not able to reschedule. Once you start treatment with me, you have a regular spot on my calendar, so you are paying for that spot, whether you are able to make it or not—I cannot take on additional clients to make up for times when you are not able to attend.
For biweekly therapy clients, I have a zero cancellation policy. All appointments will be paid for, whether you are able to reschedule them or not.
Reschedule requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance. I do not reschedule appointments with less than 72 hours’ notice.
This policy is designed to encourage you to commit to therapy once you begin. A very important and fundamental aspect to successful treatment is maintaining a frequency until the work is complete. Like with any medication, you must take a certain dosage with a certain frequency in order for it to take effect. Do not minimize the importance of this—it is the reason for treatment failure in many cases. Therapy is a serious and deeply healing experience if you fully commit.
Please evaluate whether my policy will work for you before reaching out—I stick to my policies and commitments and I would hate for you to be unhappy working with me because you did not seriously evaluate if this would work for you.

I am not In Network with any insurance. You are responsible for payment at the time of service.
If you would like to use your Out of Network benefits:
For couples therapy: I do not diagnose individuals when I see them for couple therapy. Ask your insurance if they will cover treatment for the diagnosis of Z63.0 relationship distress and the service code of 90847, family therapy with the patient present. Call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out.
For individual therapy: Be prepared to pay for the first few sessions out of pocket. Your therapy will only be covered if you meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis. I do not diagnose in the first session—it will take us a few sessions. If you do not meet criteria for a DSM diagnosis, all of your therapy will be out of pocket.

For ongoing couple therapy, I meet with both partners together for most appointments. Since my client is the relationship, the majority of relationship therapy will have both people in the room. As treatment progresses, I may ask to meet 1:1 with each partner. For some relationships with increased distress, meeting 1:1 may happen more often. For 2 day couple therapy intensives, I typically meet with each partner 1:1 for 90 minutes.
-
I work with heterosexual couples, LGBTQ+ couples and nonbinary or gender nonconforming people and relationships. I also work with nontraditional relationship structures, including polyamorous relationships—typically those that are already established. I welcome any person looking for help with their relationship into my office. Although sex therapy is not my specialty, I do help couples with their sex life and am sex positive and kink friendly. However, if sex therapy is primarily what you are looking for, I will happily recommend you to a colleague who specializes in this work.

When I am full, I do carry a waitlist. Please contact me to get on a waitlist for weekly/biweekly therapy. If you would like to work with me, but my calendar is currently full, I do offer couple therapy intensives, which are a great option for couples wanting help now. They can lead to breakthroughs, a decrease in tension, and an increase in connection. These are as short as 4 hours and as long as 2 days.
